Does anyone else experience UTI-like symptoms sometimes during ovulation or right after your period? This has happened to me several times- I get smelly urine, urgency, cramping, pressure, etc. And UTI dipstick tests are always negative. I'm already feeling better & not experiencing many symptoms today but I'm wondering if ovulation can be a trigger for IC flares?
(I am not diagnosed with IC but struggle with a lot of IC symptoms.)
@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member it’s terribly ugly. My heart goes out to you, it’s like if endometriosis isn’t enough add IC to the mix and it’s just two horrible diseases and so much unnecessary… read more
I’ve had a laparoscopy a few weeks ago, in the operation he also found that my bladder and bowels looked in a really bad state (I’ve always had issues with them but I pelvic issues always out weighed them so I never sourced help to be honest) so I’ve been referred to a bowel and bladder specialist.
I was just wondering if anyone had as I don’t know what to expect as in when they do tests and things?
(He said there was no endo on the bladder or bowels this time 🙏🏻 )
I saw an bowel and kidney Dr they were other doctors that did surgery to get endometriosis out.
Does anyone else have problems with endo & urine leakage? I find myself leaking wee a lot. Currently waiting on next surgery for extensive endo
I have bladder issues and I have use bladder underwear and underpad on the bed
I went for my one year post op appointment today and met up with my gynaecologist- he says that I shouldn't still be having endo symptoms as he removed it and it cannot come back like that (although I've read many stories where it has)
Instead he said he recommends not getting any more excision surgeries for endometriosis until I have a family- he also said that he advises I start thinking about having a family as it could become an issue the later I leave it (if the endo is back)
What do I… read more
Have your family. The longer you wait the more difficult it will be. I had one child and now I am not able to get pregnant and my chances of getting pregnant and my eggs have been negatively affected… read more
I have horrific autoimmune issues with my thyroid, endometriosis, and likely adenomyosis. I already have daily cramps, abnirmal bleeding, and a fever 4 days out of the week. Plus, 90% of my hair has fallen out. I'm in the ER almost monthly with awful pelvic and abdominal pain. I think an IUD could come near to quite literally killing me.
That’s good to know! Thank you!
After suffering from endometriosis with a lot of interventions I finally had total hysterectomy which was followed by adhesions and had adhelysis four times but I’m still in pain and chronic pain
Medication makes me survive
Otherwise I have lost count of laparoscopic investigations but I’m struggling with the pain
Now doctor suspects central sensitization
I’m now on lyrica 75 and Cymgen 60 every night
A hysterectomy is not a cure for endo. You can have endo microscopically. Not saying you do but it can be hard to get it all.

I have the same pains the back and sciatic but no idea if it’s because of endometriosis. I was getting the run around with doctors for a long time. I’m still learning.

I have read so many side effects and therefore i couldnt dare taking Visanne.. I am on Yasmin contraceptive pill instead. My mother told me she also had endometriosis when she was few years older than me and even with endometrioma in one ovarian, she could get pregnant and give birth to my sister.. Could you share with me if you have similar experiences… read more
