Can A Doctor Damage Your Endow More?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question đź’

I had surgery last Aug and I swear my endo is a million times worse! The gyno who did the surgery said to go to the ER and won’t see me anymore and I’m in constant pain lower back, hips, abdominal pain, and of course painful sexual intercourse. I am also tired all the time and don’t feel like doing a thing!

Anyone With Irregular Bleeding?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question đź’

I feel like I have been losing my mind the past month. In February I started having what looked like dried up black/brown blood with clots appear on my liner. Then it went to just brown and brown with clots. Then I started cramping bad a week ago and had red/darker brown blood with clots and appeared to have started my period. But it has been 7 days now and I am still bleeding red/dark and seeing clots. Before the "period" thought blood was coming from urethra but never saw any in urine. Did… read more

I've had irregular bleeding my entire life, but during an especially bad episode I was once told a cyst was being "reabsorbed" and that was the cause. The blood was especially dark.

Does Anyone Have Experience With Nerve Issues In The Groin/lady Parts Area Post Hysterectomy?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question đź’

I think I have a messed up nerve on the left lower abdomen running to the genital area. I have a single spot that randomly itches, stings, or feels numb.. but lately those feelings are shooting up toward my csection scar, which also happens to be the area where I had endo on a nerve that was excised during hysterectomy in 2017. I'm wondering if there is nerve damage or new endo maybe?? Anyone experience anything similar?

I noticed that Dr. Arrington notes something about nerve impingement, and you are both in Georgia. It might be worth exploring.

What do you make sure you have in your diet? What do you make sure to avoid? What are some triggers for you? Seeing if I can further help my body and get some encouragement.

Sex Life And Physical Relationship
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question đź’

I can count on one hand the times that me and my boyfriend have had sex in the last year- sad I know
I just had excision surgery back in May and of course I'm terrified of getting back on the horse... seemed like an appropriate analogy. We have tried once since my surgery after waiting long enough and it still hurt but at the time I wasn't on any type of birth control so we had to use a condom and my fun parts have never agreed with most types. I'm thinking that was the main problem (more like… read more

Why Do We Have To Endure An Invasive Surgery To Have A 100% Confirmed Diagnosis For Endometriosis?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question đź’

My gynecologist told me that she is certain I have endometriosis as well as pcos, with all my symptoms fitting them perfectly. But she also informed me that it would require surgery to confirm it so that I can get the treatment needed. I can’t take time out of work or college to do the surgery and life is miserable living it in pain and sleeplessness all the time. It’s not just a matter of missing out on work or school, it’s the money too. I can’t afford to be off more than a day, and I’ve been… read more

I can't answer why but I agree that it is ridiculous and unfair. I had the discovery surgery just to get told "yes you have it" and had to have the excision surgery 3 weeks later. Such a waste.
