I am 32 weeks and 5 days pregnant
I know after giving birth, doctor's usually put women on birth control. I have stage 4 Endometriosis so I'm unsure as to what birth control I should be looking into
My doctors are totally disregarding my Endo and suggesting birth control post partum to enusre I don't get pregnant again without wanting to however to me, Endo is my biggest concern.

I have the Mirena. Happy enough with it.

NO Lupron!! It's chemo for prostate cancer. Please look up the Lupron lawsuits.

A hysterectomy is also not a cure for endo.

What about norethindrone or the Mirena IUD?

I'm currently 34 weeks pregnant. I'm planning on going with an iud after I have my baby most likely the copper iud as I'm extremely sensitive to hormones. Ive been on birth control and it never really helped me and often had side effects. The depo causes me bleed non stop and worsened my endo significantly

I got an IUD. It's also helped with the Endo. I get no periods with it so my pain is less. I was told it was best for breastfeeding as well since it does not go through your system to do it's job. I was told lupron was not an option if I wanted to breastfeed. Also I failed on every type of birth control pill imaginable so IUD, shots, or the one that goes under the skin we're the next steps for me anyway. I have the hormonal IUD. I'm told the copper one causes lots of cramping. There are risks, so make sure you are ok with the risks if you go that route.
