I've had it 4 months. I have an appt on Thursday. My doc wanted me to wait 3-6 months to give it a chance. I'm getting more new symptoms. I'm in pain every day. I feel like my insides and expanding and stretching apart. I currently don't get prescribed any pain meds. I can get through work and that's about it.
This is kind of my last stop. I can't have estrogen based BC due to risk of stroke. I've tried every progesterone based option except the implant, which seems pointless to me since all… read more
Honestly it took 6 months for me to finally get relief the first time I got mine. I have endometriosis and adenomyosis. It may work for you at that time or it may not be the thing for you. If you are… read more
Hi I'm new here and really need some help
I have painful periods, heavy and irregular. Bloating, constipation, diarrhoea, pain with bowel movements sometimes, frequent need to wee, nausea, headaches all the time. Constant dull ache in my lower stomach and back. But sometimes get shooting pains in my right side.
My ultrasound scan came back negative but I'm still in pain and feel tired all the time too. I'm seeing a gynae soon but I'm scared I might need a laparoscopy.
Please any help and… read more
Laparoscopy is the best answer for a proper diagnosis. Took me a few years of terrible pain. Doctors eventually discovered that I have deep infiltrating endo and mostly rectovaginal. After the… read more
I have been on Visanne 2mg for 6 weeks. The spotting/light bleeding started 10 days after I was on the pill, and until today, the bleeding never stopped. It got a bit heavier starting at week 5: bright red blood with some small clots, but much less bleeding than a regular period. From time to time, I got cramps and I took an Advil, then I can carry on without any problem. But for the last 3-4 days, my pain is getting much much worse. At 2AM I woke up by some very sharp spasms in my tail bone… read more
I would definitely have a second opinion as visanne can actually cause cysts (or so it says in the manual). A laparoscopy would be good to at least diagnose you properly with endo. Maybe you have… read more
So I have a few days left on my pill and had surgery a week and a half ago. Yesterday I started bleeding heavier and having some pretty intense cramps, which could also be being a bit off about taking my birth control since I’m not having the best time recovering from surgery. I decided to just let myself have my period, I’m on seasonique so it’s been a while anyway and I figured my body could use it. I’m still in a good amount of pain and I have a pretty high pain tolerance so it’s been rough… read more
Yeah my doctor had me continue my pill normally. I ended up just letting myself have a period this week since it was almost time anyway. I started a new pack yesterday and will go for my post op… read more
Just had my laparoscopy done 2 days ago and the doctor wants me to start to take progesterone only pill for 8 weeks continuously until I see him. I had spotting after I started the 1st pill last night. I don't really know the bleeding is from the laparoscopy or the pill....anyone has similar experience to share?
Hi guys, just wondering if anyone has any advice on how to deal with the side effect of birth control. i have been place on several different types of pill ( both combine and progesterone only), to help with suspected endometriosis. None of the birth control pills i have tired seem to be helping improve the pain and other symptoms that come long with my period. my period have just become way more frequent to the point where i am having them every other week. Discussed my concerns over this… read more

Who has had an endometrial biopsy? When I looked on the internet I found terrifying 'It hurt so much I was screaming and it gave me PTSD' to 'It felt like a small pinch'. Have any of you had this procedure done? I want to know what to expect?
It's not as bad as they make it sound online. It does hurt but nothing like your reading.
I've had sciatica pain and foot pain for about 4 years. I have told my doctor who did my 2 surgeries and he said it could be the endometriosis, but when he did the laparoscopy, he didnt see anything in the abdomen that was pressuring any nerves. I do have a mesh in my lower back and abdomen so that way the endo doesnt grow. I have tried all sorts of physical therapy, bought new shoes
/insoles, and nothing has worked. I get tingling on both my legs from my lower back/glutes and I get… read more

I wanna know what endometrial thickness is normal and what is dangerous with endometriosis? I was diagnosed with endo nearly 2 months ago and have been on Visanne ever since, I was going through my reports and just found out that my endometrial thickness had gone from 5.7mm to 6.9mm.... is that bad? It getting thicker, or is it normal thickness? I tried googling and got different answers, some saying less than 6mm thickness is unhealthy and till 14 is healthy.. I really hope someone can tell how… read more
Being on Visanne definitely decreases the thickness and it's normal. I had 15 and more before visanne and 5-6 on Visanne. It will go back to normal after stopping medication. Remember - "normal range"… read more
Hi all,
I've been trying to convince for almost a year now, without any luck at all, which is really disheartening. My menstrual cycle is regular and I've been using ovulation strips as well as taking folic acid.
I'm currently waiting for blood tests and scans to check my fertility, is there anything else I can try to help conceive?
Thank you x
