A Hysterectomy & Dating
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi beautiful ladies
This may be slightly off topic but has been on my mind and I couldn’t think who better to ask
Long story short: I was engaged but broke it off during the height of the pandemic. A few months later I had a total hysterectomy at 34, fertility preservation was not my personal priority, I did not preserve any eggs prior to the procedure and do not have any children.
January 2022 will mark a year and a half since my split and I am starting to feel ready to date again.… read more

Has Anyone Had Issues With Bladder Inconsistency After Surgery?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I had surgery back in april. Just pelvic laparoscopy my Gyno found and removed endometriosis off my ovaries, uterus—inside and out, and on my bladder. But I’ve been having issues with hiding my urine and peeing my pants suddenly. Has anyone had this problem? Should I see my gynecologist or a urologist?

I would talk to both your gynecologist and either have them refer you to a urogynocologist or a urologist. I had to see one and a pelvic floor physical therapist. Hope you start feeling better soon!!

Time Off Work After Hysterectomy
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

How much time did you take off work if you had a hysterectomy? (Mine would be a partial - only removing uterus and leaving one ovary. I have already had an ovary removed). Work is luckily still on a hybrid schedule, so I will be able to work from home.

I bought a Nursal TENS. I found a setting that really helps and doesn't hurt me. It's a gentle acupuncture setting.

The problem I have is it makes my Pfannenstiel scar itch like crazy!

Getting Back Up
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I had a rough go this period complete with pain, vomiting, etc. I also had a family friend die this week, so extra stress with that. I’m in training and ended up crying in front of some of the Trainers. I’m embarrassed that I can’t handle my Endo and struggle with feeling that I’m not in control of my body. I go back to training on Monday. What do you do after a bad Endo episode to mentally reset yourself?

Does Anybody Have Incessant Upper Back Pain In Between Shoulder Blades To The Point That You Can't Sleep?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

My acupuncturist explained to me that inflammation and problems with digestive could be the cause of this back pain. I have done everything from x-ray to MRI; they are normal. My management to the pain is massage; acupuncture yoga and castor oil pad. it never goes away? Perhaps someone has a more effective way of managing that pain?
