Is Zoladex Effective?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I had surgery at the end of March to remove fibroids and confirm Endo. My gynae put me on a 6 month course of Zoladex post-op. Its literally been 1 month since the end of the 6 mth cycle and I'm in pain. Has anyone had this experience? I'm doing some reading and came across Visanne/Dienogest, is that a better treatment/management method??

Thanks for your input! I stopped the zoladex after 5 shots so I’m hoping it doesn’t have any lasting negative effects on my system. I just started Visanne a couple weeks ago, any side effects I should be wary of?

Please do your research on Zoladex, it can be extremely harmful. Also I was on it for a whole year after endo surgery, then a year later endo had grown back even though I was on zoladex and visanne. Just please be careful with zoladex it is used as a chemo drug and is extremely harmful to our bodies.
Visanne was my life saver for 4 years however I have literally stopped 2 weeks ago and I am regretting my decision, the pain is so bad. My last surgery was only 3 months ago.

I understand i was as well i wont lie the insertion is very painful takes about two weeks to heal than the added time for the horomones to do what it needs but out of any horomone therapy for me its the best and the only thing i feel thats worked . But having a forein body placed is a scary thought with my inflammation i can feel it or if i have issues with my bowels i am on my second one now .
