Hi there
For the past few months I have been seeing a pelvic medicine specialist to help with my chronic pelvic pain from endometriosis. I'm grateful to say that she has been very thorough and caring, which has been refreshing. But I'm also feeling a lot of pressure from her to take on A LOT of these treatments that make me nervous of side effects but also would put an incredible financial strain on my family and me
I have been taking suppositories and have been doing physical therapy for… read more

Hi Allison, I understand your pain and frustration. I also suffer from Endo and Ando. I personally have not tried any injections for pain relief, however I have tried the pelvic floor therapy. In addition to that, I think you should invest in a tens device. What this device does it stops the pain signals from going to your brain. The brand I use is called OVIRA. The device is under $150.00 and you can do installation payment. They also send you an invoice that you can bill to your insurance for a possible payment. I hope this information helps.

I used to be in constant pain too and low dose naltrexone totally broke that pain cycle in me. LDN has very few side effects: some headaches at first, more vivid dreams, sometimes weight loss.

Hi👋 ,
It might be a bit different as I'm in the uk with paying for treatment but I have tried lidocaine for pain related to endometriosis and adndo. I'm stage 4 it's compleatly stuck all my insides together and I have pain in my thighs, groin, bum and in the general lower tummy area. Before I was put on prostap injections I had diclofenac suppository that would give me a little break from the constant pain when I was on my period but wasn't sufficient enough. I have tried lidocaine and found that to be very helpful. I used patches of lidocaine and never had any side effects from it.
Endo is different for everyone and I feel that if you are suffering and there is side effects from medicatin you have to weigh up what the best will be. I was terrified to try anything but the pain and lost time in work and with my kids and family just made me try any suggestions the dr gave me. I hope you can find some releif and I hope my story was a little bit of help 🙂
