My laproscopic surgeon found my sigmoid colon to be stuck to my left pelvic wall with scar tissue. Scar tissue was removed from both ovaries and both fallopian tubes. The dr is referring me to a GI specialist with concerns that I have scar tissue in the bowels, and also because she was not fully able to release my colon from the pelvic wall. I never thought at 39 i would be facing a colonoscopy or possible bowel surgery. Anyone been thru this?

The cause was chronic pelvic pain. I went through 5 doctors, 2 of whom said there was no way I had endometriosis. Every CT scan and ultrasound showed nothing, and I was told everything was fine and to take ibprofen. I have been on the depo shot for nearly 6 years due to having extremly heavy and painful periods and repeated ovarian cysts. The extensive scar tissue was not found until my laproscopic surgery. It has only been 3 weeks since the surgery, but so far I have seen very little improvement in my pain.
