I have been having sciatica pains for years with my endo, more when I’m on my period and ovulating but can be whenever. I have had an MRI to see if any nerves or discs or compressed etc but apparently they aren’t, was wondering if anyone else has had this experience?
Hi, yes i also have sciatica and yes it is bad around time of my period. My legs and thighs and buttocks hurt, baaad! I also have pain on opening bowels when im on my period. I have a 6 day cycle of bleeding and the pain is worse just before my period and during first 3/4 days. It gets better slowly as i approach end of my period. I have random sciatic pain at other times too but its manageable and not as severe as during my periods. I got sciatica during a pregnancy when my baby was pressing on my sciatic nerve ( i was bedridden for last couple months of my pregnancy and found it extremely difficult to walk, sleep, etc) i was told it would either go away after i give birth or it could continue. Unfortunately for me, it continued. Its been 15 years since then and i still have issues. I had laparoscopy this year which also caused lateral femoral cutaneous nerve pain in same leg.
I had leg pain badly as a teenager
Yes have started getting this over the past couple of years, it was my right leg 2 weeks ago and I could barely lift my leg or drive, walking was OK now its my left but more in my groin and thigh. Has anyone tried any stretches or anything? Mine is also around ovulation time although I don't get it every month can go a few months but think that's cause I'm on depo x
Yep you're certainly not alone on that one, leg main is sometimes off the scales and kills the day for me
I get the worse leg pain, back pain and pelvic pain especially when the endo is flared up. I also feel a pull on my left side near my abdominal and chronic pelvic pain that sometimes I can't pick up my legs. Very painful but I also have done pelvic floor therapy it doesn't really help endo pain but the exercises help your abdominal stretch, your bowels if you suffer from constipation, and it helps stretch your pelvis.
