I was on lupron depot for a year following my laparoscopy.
Pros: I had much less pain if any since I wasn’t getting my period and it was a nice break from annoying periods in general. When I came off of it, my periods for a few months after were so mild as far as pain goes.
Cons: menopause symptoms (hot flashes, mood swings, irritability, hard time falling asleep, etc.) it affects bone density although that can recover once your off of it, you can’t be on it for more than a year at a time which makes me wonder how safe it actually is.
For me personally I felt the pros outweighed the cons and was even considering going on it again recently but it’s very expensive and my insurance wouldn’t cover it.

My name is Mary,Im 38 yrs.old ,single no boyfriends since birth.
Way back 2018,when My menstration is unusual than before,because I no longer bleed but almost a month Im in pain,almost loss lots of wait and so weak physically then I decided to have a check up then my doctor diagnose me of having an endometriosisand ahe prescribe me an injectable hormone GnRH(Lupron) so much side effects,mood swing,depression,anxiety,hot flushes and the worst is palpitations,
my heart is so tired and it supposed be injected for 3months but on my first month I decided not to continue since my body can't endure the side effects,then my OB change it to oral pills Vissane I took it for 6months Yes The pain lessen but I still palpitate ,back pain ,mumbness
,dizziness sometimes but not much..I developed panic attach,Sometimes I feel Im dying.
Theres an improvement on the size of my endometriosis cyst it decreases.
After 6months of vissane pills I stop 2019.
2022 again last october I went back to my OB again because I always feel the same pain,then my OB prescribe Vissane again for 6months but I refuse to take since ,Im afraid for the side effects.
I also watch my diet,I look for food that helps lower Estrogen,because excess estrogen worsen my endometriosis.
Im planning to undergo laparoscopy since my OB advice me jot to undergo hysterectomy at my age,Im at risk for Osteoporosis and CVD(cardio vascular disease)..
I always pray to God to have enough strength for my pain.
