First off, inform your doc of all the symptoms that have gotten worse since taking Visanne, and also what's improved, if anything. I'm on visanne for around 4-5 months too but I was prescribed it as a way to avoid surgery as visanne helps in shrinking the cyst by stopping periods. I'm due for a follow up ultrasound scan soon, which would indicate what's up with my cyst compared to pre-visanne. I'd recommend you also request your doc to do the same. If it's just one or two cysts and that too small/shrunken by visanne, you may not even need lap exploratory surgery. Or even if you do need it, the doc will still have a decent idea of what to expect and where.

Finally, I'll just repeat here what my gynaec told me regarding visanne - not everyone will see great improvement with V in just 3 months. For many women, it can take 4-6 months for the body to adjust to the pill and start showing positive results. So maybe ask your own doc about whether it makes sense for you too to continue visanne for a couple more months, rather than going the surgical route immediately.
