I had my long-awaited Laparoscopy surgery after suffering Stage IV Deep Infiltrating Endo that developed undiagnosed for 20 years. The surgeon said it was 'unbelievable' how much disease they had to excise. :-S
I think I'm recovering okay at this moment, however, am nervous about this so often remarked upon 'first period after surgery' pain.
Is it maskable by NSAIDS? If I just gauge Aleve, will I survive this? I'm supposed to be going on a little road trip up to a cabin in the⦠read more
I had excision, d&c, cystectomy, and bilateral salpingectomy for my stage 3 endo. I had surgery on a Wednesday and unfortunately got my period on the Friday. I needed every pain medication I could get but I had a lot cut out at once. The next one I feared for, but got through with just ibuprofen. Prayers for quick relief.
Hi Monika, I was able to manage with Advil or Aleve, however, I did need lots of rest and heating pads during the first and second periods. I did stay home from work 1 day during the first period because I was so miserable. Each person is different but I would prepare to be able to rest and take care of yourself.
