Anyone had laparoscopic surgery for ovarian endometriosis? Be it the left ovary or right ovary. (Mine was on the left ovary around 6cm)
Had surgery last November 2022, and it’s now august 2023, still feel an achy pain that comes and goes in the lower left abdomen.
Just want to know if anyone has experience this before. (Ps I’m taking Visanne (progestin hormonal treatment) but doubt this should be causing the sharp pain on the left side.
I have had an increase in pain since past surgeries in my left ovary area. It turned out that my endo returned and had invaded my uterosacral ligaments and left ureter. :(
Hearing the word returned is just as heartbreaking as hearing oh your cancer is back. Surgery is costly and so is long term treatment and for it to return just feels detrimental. I’m really sorry dear 😞 I really do hope dichloroacetate, the new drug which is non hormonal will succeed in its trials. That way we won’t have to opt for expensive surgeries or opt for hormonal treatments
Oh no dear! I’m really sorry to hear that. By any chance, did you doctors prescribe any hormonal treatment after your surgeries?
