Zoladex - Does It Actually Reduce Endometriotic Cyst?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

After my first laproscopy last year, I developed a cyst again in April 2023 and I am under treatment since then. I am planning to conceive and my doctor gave me 2 injections of zoladex in 1 month gap to reduce the cyst. I started with 5cm and after 3 months it's 7.3cm. Obviously it didn't work for me but he is too confident that I don't need a surgery and my cyst can be reduced and I can further go for pregnancy. Has anyone been in this situation before where zoladex turned out to be not… read more

@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member my doctor is yet to prescribe dinogest but as he says that's going to be the medication I will be one for like 2-3 months. I am really sick of the cyst always coming back and stays there like forever and increasing even after medications. It's like nothing really works on endo.

@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member yes it's goserelin. It's a hormone that stops the production of estrogen which in turn stops ovulation. Side effects are fatigue, hairfall, mood swings and above all "zero" libido. I really want my sex drive back now it's been 3 months I am starting to feel like a dead body.
I have mentioned the diet that worked on me with the symptoms of endo in my profile. You can go through it and feel free to follow. Hope it works for you because it did for me.

Yes, it happened to me when my then doc prescribed Primolut N back in 2021. I missed my periods for the three months I was on the meds but when the cyst was checked after, it was 2cm larger. She suggested surgery but upon visiting another doc he put me on visanne for one year and the cyst reduced in size a bit.

OH my,sorry to hear this dear,I feel sad,and its true my doctor injected me a GNRH hormone lupron as promise to reduce the size and pain, yes pain I believe but the bad side effects is lifetime, and the size of my endo cyst increase as well,I stop it it tooks me 1 month only for it is not good for my mentality and the bad effects in my body is trrible,1 onth of hot flashes, mod swing, and the worst thing heart palpitations...
Thats why everytime they give me a brand of medicine I always search the side effects..and weigh the benifits over the risk...
Some doctors not all just give medicine without knowing the status of your liver and kidneys thats why lets all be responsible, its sad to realized later.God Bless warrior sending hug
