They keep telling me to wait 6 weeks / 6 months / a year for it to settle down but I can't imagine living with this pain for that long! I'm not sure if it's worth sticking it out or not. And how long to do it for. Has anyone else had anything like this? What were your experiences? Thanks

After IUD and keyhole surgery i had serve cramping and heavy bleeding for roughly 2 weeks. Was completely bed ridden and I was probably showering 3 times a day as I was bleeding through the pads and then just heavy period for 4-5 months after. IUD helped with the pain for 2 out of the 3 years it was in, when it was removed it was horrible took me a good 6 months to get “regular” period again
