I think I treat BV every year since my surgery in 2019. I don't know what could be the problem. I promise it's nothing like new partners. Can't even spice up sexlife with something as simple as lube, that will lead to BV. Any permanent solution?
I deal with this, too, and regularly do a splash of apple cider vinegar/distilled water mix (75/25) at the end of my shower. (Incidentally, I also have a "yeasty" scalp and find that rinsing my hair with the same bottle (I just keep it in a condiments squeeze bottle) after washing and conditioning keeps that at bay, too. The only thing to be aware of... and I have never had a medical professional confirm this... but I think doing the vinegar splash might make the Ph of your vagina too acidic to allow for optimal fertility. Not an issue for me, as I figured this out while pregnant with my son, but if you're trying to conceive, I've read that a more alkaline Ph is optimal for hosting sperm.
I find the only thing that worked for me was boric acid vaginal suppositories.
Thank you, Sofia. I have never tried them before. I just looked them up and this is the route I will take this time round. Hoping for the best...
