Hi, I Just Started My Endo Treatment With Visanne, Its Almost Two Weeks But I Started Spotting A Bit. Is This Normal?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

My doctor said I should expect light bleeding but no pain. But, I'm having that feeling that I'm about to start cramping bad. I don't know if I'm just paranoid or its actually gonna happen. Can anyone tell me about their first experience taking this pill? Thanks.

I have been taking Visanne medication for about a year. The bleeding will stop after three months of use. I used to have bleeding that resembles a menstrual period, with pain similar to a menstrual period, but not very severe. As for the side effects, such as breast pain and fluid retention in the body, they almost disappeared after 3 months, and depression as well. All the bad symptoms disappeared after the third month of use.

How long have you been taking it now?

I unfortunately stopped taking the Dienogest after 4-5 months because of side effects -- I probably bled more frequently while on the meds than ever before but my periods themselves were a lighter flow. Fingers crossed it suits you!
