I went self employed a few years ago, I’m a beauty therapist. I used to work at a hotel spa, I was told by my manager my pain was in my head. I did 9 hour days without a break and got to the point especially on my periods where I would faint though pain. I went self employed to work around my health. Best decision I ever made!
I'm just about to graduate and start full-time work in a largely remote job in policy. I get to travel once every few months which should be doable but on a day to day basis can determine how I handle my health and work. I would recommend looking for firms that are largely remote anyway so you don't go through a long process only to find out they won't make accommodations for you.
I work from home though sometimes i go to sites for projects. Endi made a lot of changes
@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member. My work place is terrible. There is no consideration regarding my conditions. Most of time I get comments about how much I miss work from co workers. Work is unpleasant especially during a period or ovulation.

I’m an independent (insurance) adjuster and I work 100% from home.
