I’ve been recently diagnosed since January this year and honestly sex has always been painful for me. It started to get worse since my surgery and I worry that me limiting sex is going to strain my marriage. I haven’t tried pelvic floor physical therapy yet. I did just get an appointment with a pelvic pain specialist that offers physical therapy and other treatments so I’m hoping she’ll be able to help. Thanks for the feedback! ❤️
Yes pelvic floor physical therapy has worked super well for that for me. Now when pain and tension increases again, and I feel like it won’t go well, we just start by doing some gentle massage and tension release work and it all goes smoothly. It was great to be able to learn a lot in the appointments since I can’t have them regularly. It really helps to start breaking the cycle of pain creating tension and tension creating pain.
