My doctor put me on this about a month ago, and I have had consistent cramps with not much improvement, and I am trying to figure out if it's worth staying on. I feel defeated as surgery did not help me besides getting a diagnosis, and I don't know what to do. What do people recommend for symptom relief?
I have also been on this for about a month and am not having any pain improvement. Hoping it starts helping soon because I can't stand this much longer without asking to switch.
I was on it for years wish I still was. I had no periods no pain no problems. I messed up by stopping that during my divorce... I recommend it highly. I have stage 4 endo and it helped me tremendously.
I've been on it for a few years to help me through peri. I wish I'd had this D.O. earlier: she looks for noninvasive methods to treat symptoms. The mini pill works for me in that I don't experience typical menses (dysmenorrhea due to fibroids.) I still cycle & have some symptoms but not having a disgusting period really improves my quality of life. I also follow an anti-inflammatory diet & take a natural supplement; I think Endo requires a multifaceted treatment plan. Give it a few months to really evaluate-- you're an organism, not a machine. Cheers!
Has anyone tried Aygestin (norethindrone acetate) for symptom relief, and what do people recommend for managing endometriosis symptoms?
It's completely understandable to feel defeated when treatments aren't providing the relief you hoped for. A month may not be quite long enough to see full results from hormonal treatments Show Full Answer
