I've gone to the hospital because I was feeling lightheaded, and they said they found a small ovarian cyst on my left ovary. They said it was too small to be causing my bleeding but it still hasn't stopped. I have an appointment with my gyn next week, but I have a feeling they're not going to know what to do either.
Interesting, okay. My cycle is a bit different because I'm on the pill and I've been taking it continuously so I don't get periods anymore, and I obviously don't ovulate because I'm on the pill. But I will definitely investigate further, thank you!
Hi AvaBAppel, just to say that after many many years of misdiagnosis it was a hospital gyn who diagnosed my endometriosis. After years of being told that I had a left ovarian cyst and therefore nothing to worry about - it turned out to be what was then called a 'chocolate cyst' - a blood filled cyst (endometriosis). Maybe check that that is not the case - his diagnosis was that it was not diminishing in size as my 'cycle' was running and that I was in constant pain 24/7 - Ovarian cysts change in size depending upon your time of the month - where as a chocolate cyst grows.
