Jalisa, I would highly recommend researching and checking out a doctor trained in NaProTechnology. The origin of it is Catholic based and the doctors and physicians focus on preserving the reproductive organs.

NaProTechnology is distinct because it approaches fertility as a matter of health to be restored rather than a condition to be bypassed.

I found a Christian physician through this - I searched for NaPro trained doctors near me and found a Gynecologist who then recommended the surgeon. She was amazing and understood my desire to preserve my reproductive organs at all costs.

Most physicians will not be as careful with this or understand. Their goal is just to try to get rid of the problem.

Over the past few months, I have been consulting doctors regarding my endometriosis. I initially visited a gynecologist at a private hospital, where surgery was recommended. I was then referred to a larger government hospital, where I have now had three consultations. However, the guidance I received has not been very clear, as the final decision has been left to me—whether to proceed with surgery or continue managing the condition with hormonal treatment for pain control.
At this point, I find myself facing a difficult and deeply personal decision. I am trying to weigh the importance of improving my quality of life against preserving my reproductive health. I have never been pregnant, and I still hold on to my hope of becoming a mother someday, even though I am not yet married and I am already 39 y.o.

I had laparoscopic surgery done twice. The recovery time depends on how invasive the surgery is. I was super sore and weak and couldn’t sit up or stand unassisted for a few days. I gradually gained strength and was able to go for walks and do more after about a week. It took more like a month to feel pretty normal. Was the pain as bad as my endo pain? Not at all, honestly! It was much more bearable. Plus, that pain could be handled wirh over the counter pain meds - which don’t effect my endo pain at all.

I had three incisions - one in the belly button and one on either side of my stomach. It felt really good to be free from endo pain!

Unfortunately, there is a 50% chance of recurring scar tissue and endo growth. Mine was back within a year each time.

So for me, it was very expensive without long term results.
