My surgeon recommended trying cbd suppositories as a substitute for my cannabis smoking leading up to my surgery in July. I'm looking into different brands and mg amounts and just want some feedback from people who understand the kind of relief I might be after. It seems I can get around 8 for $50, so it's not exactly affordable to do daily. I dont know if every few days would still be effective or if I should try and find a different kind than what im looking at.

Unsure how it would not help to place pain relieving medication directly near the muscles being affected? My surgeon already told me to try them instead of smoking, so it must not be the same when preparing for surgery.

I would think since they want to perform surgery, suppository would not assist if they have to go in the stomach/pelvis area.😑 Likewise to finding a substitute to smoking.

I haven’t heard or tried of cbd suppositories but my dr suggested Valium suppositories and they did nothing. I wouldn’t recommend vag suppositories because of how they can dissolve or not dissolve .
But that is just my experience.
Do your own research don’t just listen to what Dr says tho!
