Has Anyone Had A Hysterectomy?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I know its not a cure. But i am debating whether to have a hysterectomy because i am just sick of my female organs. I just wondered if anyone had had a hysterectomy because of there endo and how it has affected it and if they got any relief from it.

A MyEndometriosisTeam Member

I had one and it helped for a while but the endo did come back and I have had 3 surgeries since the hysterectomy and am scheduling another with a new doctor in January and hopeful that this time it is… read more

Blood Tissue & Bloodish-brown Discharge While Using Visanne
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I've been using Visanne for 6 months now. It took away my pain, but every single day I have to deal with blood discharge and tissues. My period completely stopped 1 month after I started using Visanne. In the beginning I thought that my body is cleaning out since I have endometriosis for many years. I brought my concern to my gynecologist, but she just shrugged her shoulders... I have noticed that more water i drink, the more discharge is coming out. I have to wear a pad every day. And also how… read more

Hip And Low Back Pain Worse Than Pelvic Pain, Increased After Ovulation
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Does anyone ever feel the majority of your pain in your hips and lower back during a flare? I certainly have pretty severe pain in my pelvic area, and thats where it actually started, but my hips and lower back feel like there's so much pressure in them its painful to sit or lay in any position. My sacral joints are on fire. Just finished ovulating and now i basically get to have worsening pain for 2 more weeks until my period is over. My hips feel like they are going to bust apart. Is this… read more

Pregnancy After Visanne
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi.

I am intermittently taking visanne. Side effects are different each time. This time round I've been spotting during visanne(started treatment 1day after period).

Meds finished in Nov and just realised I had sex during fertility my week in Dec.

Can I fall pregnant? How long does it take to wear off/be out of your system?

Previously it cut my ovulation out completely with no signs of spotting or period

A MyEndometriosisTeam Member

Hi.

Unfortunately not. Still trying to fall pregnant.

A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Has anyone tried changing their diet?

Has this helped with endo symptoms

My gastroenterologist gave me samples of a probiotic called VSL3. Have you tried it?

Skin Sensitive To Touch
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Does anyone else have skin that is sensitive to touch (without obvious cause)? I don't have this problem all of the time, it comes and goes. But, it is so strange and annoying... Gentle touches on my arms or legs hurt!! It feels kind of like when you touch a bruise (but, there is no bruise...).

Is this one of those weird, unexplained symptoms of endo, or something else?

A MyEndometriosisTeam Member

That's also a REALLY common problem with fibre myalgia! You should ask your doctor about it!

Visanne And Periods?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

For those of you who have been on Visanne did you notice a change in your periods? My first one on it came late and lasted for about two weeks and this one is even later or possibly non-existent I had some cramps around the time I should have gotten it and maybe a drop. Can it stop your period altogether? My doctor never mentioned it when she prescribed it to me and it slipped my mind to ask. Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

How Do You All Deal With The Pain Each Month?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

How do u deal with your endometriosis each month? Do u have any advice. I use lots of Motrin hot baths and a heating pad. Can't use birth control because my body reacts badly to the hormones even the low dose.

A MyEndometriosisTeam Member

My doctor just switched me to Ponstel, which is an NSAID a little more specific to period pain than Motrin. I feel like I've been on everything and this NSAID is working wonders for me.
