Has Anyone Still Had The Same Pain After The Laparoscopy They Did Before?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I'm not talking about recovery pain from the surgery. I mean has anyone still had the same awful pain they were having prior to surgery after? I'm 3 months out from my surgery and I'm getting the same stabbing pain I had before. I guess I was under the impression that if I had surgery it would talk care of the pain for a little while. And I guess 3 months is a "little while" but I was hoping it would be for a lot longer.

Wow! I will have to try those. I do go to a sauna at my local gym, but I haven’t been to an infrared sauna. I will be looking these things up for sure ❤️ Thanks TabithaH07

Anesthesia
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Did anyone go crazy, say weird things, or just act wild, or any other out of character behaviour after they woke up from a laparoscopy due to the anesthesia?

Yeah and plus on the NHS in the UK, trying to get one is just a nightmare so I might as well just take this opportunity while I have it

Nerve Pain With Endometriosis?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I had shingles at age 28 and was diagnosed with endometriosis shortly before turning 30. I now recognise that I possibly had endo symptoms for most of my 20s.

The nerve pain (limbs/back/face) and facial numbness that I experienced with shingles continued to come back periodically after treatment. I thought the flare ups were due mostly to stress but eventually noticed that they would line up with my luteal and menstrual phases; losing two weeks of my life each month. A bad incident with my… read more

Has Anyone Dealt With A Rectal & Vaginal Prolapse?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Has anyone dealt with a rectal & vaginal prolapse? I was recently diagnosed with both. I'd been saying it was a possibility for years and last month was the first time I got the prolapse diagnosis for certain. I don't really like the doctor I have. Any suggestions for how I should approach this or things anyone wishes they knew sooner about a prolapse? Any help is appreciated. I was diagnosed with endo officially in 2013. Had symptoms my whole life. Laporoscopy in 2013 and hysterectomy in… read more

What’s The Most Absurd Thing Your Doctor Has Told You?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I had one gynecologist tell me to my face that endo can’t grow and proceeded to look at me funny. Another told me that she could only prescribe Tylenol for my IUD placement. These make me laugh, lol

I had my OB prescribe me the combo pill and after I told her that I had less pain after being on it but was still experiencing some pain she said that if I had endo that would have fixed it so I must… read more

Has Laparoscopic Endo Surgery Improved Your Chronic Fatigue?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have had debilitating chronic fatigue for 3.5 years. We have explored multiple avenues of my health through various physicians to get answers, with little success. I have been diagnosed with Endo (after gallbladder removal). However, we have not explored it more. I am hoping that getting laparoscopic endo surgery could help improve/eliminate my chronic fatigue.

Does Anyone Else Deal With Skin Issues That May Be Related?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I've been dealing with this itchy skin condition on my hands (both palms and backs) since November (ish)
It starts out as these incredibly itchy, tiny, skin coloured bumps that do or don't get red but fill with fluid, sometimes that's where it stays, but if it's scratched at all the bumps weep and then it spreads more. Other times it flares out and the skin becomes red and inflamed and looks like an eczema flare (which is what I was told in 2020 that it was the only other time I ever dealt with… read more
