Mid Month Endo Pain??

Mid Month Endo Pain??

Hello :)
For a few years now, around the middle of my cycle, I would have a day of pelvic swelling. This would radiate to the rectum and I would find it very uncomfortable to sit down. This was firstly fobbed off as mid month pain and after pushing, was referred to an endo Dr. The coil kept it at bay for a year or so but now its back and i am awaiting a laparoscopy
The pain happened last night, woke me up and it felt like it was in the bladder too. It almost felt like birthing contractions; I… read more

Left Sided Pain, Behind Rib, After Period

Left Sided Pain, Behind Rib, After Period

Hi,
Does anyone else experience a pain behind their left rib? Almost in their back? But more to the side?
I have had those at the end of my PasT three periods. I was tested for kidney stones, -negative. And just wondering if anyone has any knowledge on this?
It feels like I am being stabbed and hurts to move. It comes in waves alongside pelvic cramping, never on its own .

Thanks xx

How Do You Tell Family Members You Have Endometriosis?

How Do You Tell Family Members You Have Endometriosis?

My in-laws are pushy about my husband and I having children, and they do not know about my diagnosis yet. I haven't told them because of comments they've made in the past about my worth being tied to my ability to have children. I am having surgery in less than a month, and my husband wants to tell his parents that I am having this operation. I do not want to tell them because they will use the knowledge as a weapon to demean me further. Any advice?

Has Anyone Ever Had A Salpingostomy?

Has Anyone Ever Had A Salpingostomy?

I recently found out my tubes are completely blocked and was given two options. This was one of my options but im just curious if it actually helps.

A MyEndometriosisTeam Member said:

My tubes were removed during excision due to scar tissue. There was no reopening them. The lumen was a pinpoint. No egg or sperm could have gotten through. And the fimbriae were clubbed.

Problems With Bleeding Through My Mirena IUD

Problems With Bleeding Through My Mirena IUD

I have been bleeding despite having my hormonal IUD for three months now, usually around two weeks at a time. It's a very, very heavy flow with many clots coming through. I would say the IUD (Mirena) worked to keep my bleeding to only random spotting for about five months when it's supposed to work somewhere between 2-3 years. My ob/gyn had a vaginal ultrasound done on me and the IUD has not moved or punctured anything. That was our first concern. Now she's saying surgery (which will be my… read more

Lupron

Lupron

Tell me your experiences! On Tuesday we had a phone consult with an endo surgeon finally and she said she’d want me on lupron 2-3 months pre-op (surgical wait time is 4-6 months here). The following day our RE cancelled our IVF retrieval as the maturity of the follicles was not synchronized. We have a consult with him in a few weeks to plan for the next attempt, but he mentioned briefly that he would maybe try me on lupron for a few months before an egg retrieval also.

Has Anyone Tried Turmeric As A Way To Manage Endo Pain?

Has Anyone Tried Turmeric As A Way To Manage Endo Pain?

Turmeric is considered one of the most effective anti-inflammatory compounds in the world. I’ve tried CBD oil which can also supposedly reduce inflammation but didn’t help at all. Has anyone tried it?

Suggestions For Teens With Sharp Pain?

Suggestions For Teens With Sharp Pain?

My sister lately has been dealing with abdomen pain. It was bad enough a few weeks ago that they took her to the hospital and found she had a ruptured cyst but didn’t see anything else. However, with just a ruptured cyst the pain should only last 24-48 hours afterwards and her pain has been constant since then. Today she called me saying she had really sharp pain in her abdomen, different from cramping. I suspect she could have endo but her symptoms aren’t enough to warrant surgery, nor is it a… read more
