Pain is pervasive among women living with endometriosis. And while many members of MyEndometriosisTeam share how pain is often both excruciating and ever-present, they describe how pain is amplified during various stages of their period cycle. Pain is particularly acute at the start of one’s period, but can be felt throughout the cycle – from ovulation to mid-cycle to several days before the period starts. The pain can be so severe that over-the-counter treatments like Midol or Advil barely make a dent in reducing pain.
