I was on a once a month injection of Lupron for six months. My last injection was on the 2nd of April. I'm beginning to have "phantom periods". No bleeding, just pain, pressure, severe IBS, etc..I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else and about how long it took for our period to come back?
I'm in the same boat. About 4-5 years ago I switched from Lupron to Depo-Provera and stopped the Depo in October 2014. So it's been about 8 months and no period yet, which makes sense because I've been supressing it since I was about 17 (9 years). Last month and this month though I had phantom periods: pelvic pain, back pain, bloating, fatigue, nausea. Wondering if/when it will come back.
It's been a few years for me, but I too did the once a month for 6 months shot. For me it took about 2 months. Unfortunately the pain hit me like a ton of bricks. Like I had no treatment at all. It works differently on everyone. I hope your treatment is successful.
@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member I was on the once a month injection.
@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member I'm in the process of being transferred to UCSD Women's Health so I don't know really who to call. My other OBGYN, the one who put me on Lupron, hasn't even tried to see me in 5 months. Never even checked in on me after my last injection. She told me that my pain isn't endo related since the Lupron didn't give me relief. Apparently everyone she gives Lupron to gets better as long as it's endo. So frustrating..
