Idk what stage endo I had but I did get prego naturally 4 times and have 3 children 1 miscarry. My husband is my best friend, comforter and supporter however, he is afraid sometimes to be intimate even if I initiate it because it does induce flare ups for days. We absolutely adore each other though. I think we have the best marriage on the planet. :-)

Hi Kristin, I have stage 2 and am currently pregnant.

I was diagnosed with stage 2 endo + adenomyosis in Oct 2023 at 33 years old. Tested pregnant(natural conception) in May 2024 at 34.. Not sure if you know this but the staging of endo has to do more with the impact to the reproductive system and the location of endo than it has to do with severity or pain. For example, if endo has ravaged a fallopian tube and an ovary and they need to be removed, a woman will be diagnosed as stage 4. Her chances of falling pregnant naturally will be significantly reduced because she will have only 1 of her 2 reproductive sides left.

For me, my endo was growing extensively underneath my uterus, on the back wall of my uterus, in the cul-de-sac, and mostly on the right side. It was constricting my right ureter so I was getting frequent UTIs. I had a cyst on one fallopian tube but it was superficial and when it was removed it did not cause any bleeding or scarring, and the tube was in working condition.

But as far as fertility went, my tubes worked, my ovaries were fine and my egg count was fine. I actually had my excision surgery with a fertility clinic/surgical center. So prior to surgery they checked that my tubes were not blocked, they ran an egg count test on my ovaries, they tested my hormones, and they did genetic testing. Even prior to excision they were pretty confident that I would be able to get pregnant because I had normal egg count and both of my fallopian tubes were working. They also tested my partner's sperm count and quality, so we got even more confidence.

With the stage 2 diagnosis after I woke from surgery, we had more confidence. We were offered IFV right away, like 2 weeks post surgery. I declined because I wanted to try naturally first, for at least 6 months. We were not successful in the first 6 months and started gearing up to retrieve eggs. I had done the consult with the fertility clinic, leaned the costs, took the classes the fertility clinic required prior to retrieval. Then randomly I noticed my period was a SINGLE DAY late. I had purchased hundreds of pregnancy tests that I had on hand. So I took one and it was positive. It was incredible timing because we did not ever pay for any IVF service other than the initial consultation which was $250.

I recommend gathering more info from a fertility clinic if you haven't already. There are a lot of reasons women don't get pregnant that are not endo. You need the whole picture, including the picture of your man's health. The fertility clinic had me start a LOT of prenatals even prior to my excision surgery.
