The new gynecologists office was mentioning radio frequency ablation. I'm curious as to if anyone has tried it, if it helped, made things worse, what your experience in general was like. Would you recommend it? Thanks!
I have heard good things about the pelvic floor PT but I also heard it takes several months to get relief from it and it usually gets worse before better.
I have started pelvic floor physio. they pinch and roll my abdominal tissue to treat subcutaneous panniculosis, which is dysfunction in the connective tissue, the treatment is super painful, but I am noticing less pelvic pain and we haven't even gone below the belt yet. It is slow, but it seems to be working! Hope this helps.
@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member I talked with Deb, my acupuncturist who really recommended pelvic floor PT and radio frequency ablation. So I'm going to talk with insurance and when I go in for my annual on the 5th, I'll get a prescription too. I know one if not both need prescriptions. Thanks for your help!
Thanks. I'm just trying to get more information about both, see if either or both are worth trying. The only thing to lose (other than time because of driving to either or both during construction season) is pain. That would be a good thing, not being in the pelvic/ovarian pain. I did PT December-March for a sprained ankle, so I know the dance of Pain and Torture. (No one would go if they really called it what it really is) 2 steps forward, 1 back. Sometimes 1 forward, 2 back. But if being in less pain is all I have to lose...well worth it, right? If anyone has experience with either, please let me know.
I just don't feel like I have anything to lose by trying it other than pain. I've filled the insurance deductable already because of depression earlier in the year that caused me to go to the ER and get help, so my parents would have to pay very little. So if the only thing I have to lose by trying it is pain...why the heck not? The other thing is pelvic floor PT.
