I have had Mirena almost 2 yrs..helped at first after.first lap..then my endo came back even with it and.had another lap in March and.pain back..how so I know if its the IUD or endo.making me hurt??dr says he thinks the endo is the cause of my pain and if I take IUD out I will.be even worse off..ugh..so hard.to know what to.do
Good luck!! ♡
I had it in for...around 5 months. I got it removed when it had begun causing me to be so depressed and moody that it was ruining my relationship and making me hate myself. It was also causing me additional lower back pain, uterine "fluttering" and cramping, and it gave me an additional cyst on my right ovary that was larger than my endometrioma. The formation of that cyst landed me in the ER from the pain and I HATE going there...it was really severe. I wish it had worked out for me.
@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member it's for very suspicious reasons removed from the labels/pamphlets for Mirena in the USA, but Mirena should NOT BE given to anyone with a history of depression. It's still mentioned in the medication info in a few other countries, like Canada.
@Elenam worried mine will effect my mood in the long run. I have suffered from depression because of endometriosis and my past relationship. I just got my Mirena inserted.
@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member..thanks..good to know..I am starting this process now and also feel led by God to do this. I had another consult set up in CLT next month but I think that's a waste of.time..
And yes I highly recommend the CEC and if my own daughter developed endo that is where we would go and I will probably go back in 5-10 yrs for a hysto due to adeno if the uterus keeps enlarging buy for now I wanted to preserve fertility
