I still have pain during sex, but I've found what lessens it is a lot of foreplay, and making him stay still for about a full minute after penetration. I don't know if it actually helps or if it is just my mind making me think it helps, but after my bf has been still for a while it seems to be less crampy for me and used to his being there. It's really difficult to start off that way but worth it to reduce the pain even a little.

Unfortunately, I have that happen too... I don't know if it is my cervix or what, but any time I am penetrated, during and after, I bleed and am in horrible pain. It is very damaging to my relationship...

The only advice I can offer is this: If being physically intimate is too difficult, try to form intimacy in other ways. Cuddle, spend time together, and laugh. Sometimes, a lot of foreplay helps. But, honestly, it is a tough road. This disease seems to only be managed through surgeries and acceptance. :( I hope you are staying in touch with your doctor and that you are hanging in there. I am so sorry for your pain and hope you know you are not alone.

Hugs!

Sex is the worst, I hate having it anymore. I have constant pain and it's embarrassing. My husband tries to be really understanding but it's still tough situation. Honestly I have not found much that helps. :(

I would be careful about taking ibuprofen every day. It can have harmful side effects like liver disease if taken over long periods of time and new research is pointing at decreased fertility linked to their use on a regular basis.

Two of the women on my team have mentioned vaginal valium (in very small doses) which relieves pain and helps them relax and enjoy sex more.

I hope you can find relief soon.

I was told my by GYN to take ibuprofen before doing things like that or exercising,so that your uterus while it is contracting it won't hurt as much or at all.
