When Can I Hot Tub?

A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭
Hamilton, ON

I had my laparoscopy on November 23. It told me not to have a hot bath but I could shower. If hot baths are a no than hot tubs are a no but my dad and I hot tub together and he keeps asking how long before I can hot tub because hot tubing alone is boring. How long do I have to wait before I can hot tub again?

I would ask your doctor, but I would say 4 weeks or until your incisions are closed. I think the reasoning is to prevent infection and also soaking in a tub or hot tub could loosen/dissolve your stitches or surgical glue too quickly. I would also ask what temperature is ok.
