I was told that I have endometriosis after having a laproscopic surgery in March. Beyond that, that's all I've been told. Turns out my doctor didn't actually take a sample or anything to confirm this. I'm not sure if I should take her to court for my medical bills because now the surgery was for nothing, or if I should consider asking her to do it again at no cost, or if I should just find a better doctor to help me find answers and find the right treatment.
Sampling or biopsies aren't necessary to diagnoses Endo. During laproscopy it can visualized, and typically doctors will take pictures to keep as reference. If you haven't yet, you can request a copy of your records from the hospital where surgery was performed and they should have copies of photos and operative report that should confirm the diagnosis. That's all you need to be treated for it. I'd then find a doctor you're comfortable with that can advise you on treatment options. Hope things work out. BE WELL!
Did your doctor take any pictures? My diagnosis is from the consultant taking pictures of the endo X
