My doctor wants me to do an AIP diet (Anti Inflammatory Protocol) diet which gets rid of gluten and dairy which I’m fine with my mom is not 😢😢 I don’t mind this for health reasons. I already like to eat gluten free and dairy free alternatives for foods such as pasta, ice cream, soup, frozen meals etc. I’m just wondering what others think?? Any advice and suggestions, thoughts would be most appreciated.
Thank you so much.
Idk if you have gut issues co-occurring but I found gluten free to be bunk, too. The gluten free alternatives apparently have a lot of emulsifiers and fillers that're gut-bothering sometimes, same with plant-based milks and ice creams :-/ very filling, hard to digest - though unsure from an anti-inflammatory perspective.
A mediterranean diet didnt help me. I do a lot of whole plant based food which helped with weight loss but not endo. I dont know if having it on my bowel is the reason I didnt get relief. 3 surgeries for this and now another one in a few months.

Gluten free is easy and totally worth it for me. I avoid conventional dairy with its accumulated pesticide toxins and artificial hormones, but I feel very nourished by organic butter and my raw goat milk from my goats
