i had a hysterectomy in 2014 and just this last december went back to have my cervix removed. the hysterectomy did NOTHING for my pain levels, i am still not far enough out to decide if this last surgery helped. my best advice, get a second third even fourth opinion. after my hysterectomy my hormones went bonkers, my sex drive disappeared and i had all sorts of issues.. just fyi

I'm 24 and my options right now is depo shot (dr explained with resent studies depo or mirena is better for endo) or total hysterectomy. The partial (leaving ovaries) is pointless, as my dr explained it's not all the uterus' fault a lot of it is ovaries since it controls the hormones. So leaving ovaries will still cause problems. I'm on the depo shot to see how my body does, my 2nd one will be end of feb.
