Sorry If This Is TMI But I Have To Ask
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I was wondering if any of you have bleeding when you go the the restroom? I do almost every time and had always thought that it could have something to do with endo. I have had the laparoscopic surgery in my uterus to remove endo but not in my bowels and am concerned there might be endo there too? Anyone else experiencing that? Sorry if it's gross I'm just unsure what to make of it

It's possible to have it in intestines. I would suggest asking your doctor cause it could be something else. I know they say make sure your not drinking anything red, orange or purple for a few days and see if what appears to be blood in stool goes away cause it could be the food coloring if it doesn't the I would make sure Dr knew so it can be checked into.

@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member sounds like internal hemorriods to me, but I'd have a doctor check it out. I haven't experienced endometriosis within my intestines, only outside the GI tract, so not sure what those symptoms might be. In the meantime, you can research at home treatments (drinking lots of water, sitz baths, adding fiber supplement and avoiding straining/constipation) that might give you some relief until your appointment.

@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member hi! Sorry for such a late response! It's a bright red that just kind of drips out after I go😁 Never bleeding during the rest of the day or anything thank God

TMI but is it bright red or dark blood? Bright red indicates internal hemmoriods and actually pretty common for endo patients. If darker, definitely talk to doctor about possible causes and treatment. I don't think it's normal for you to bleed daily regardless of the cause

I have the same problem and yes it can be from the endo. I read somewhere that it sometimes it happens because the blood from the tissue bleeding has to come out somewhere.
