Is this sort of pain normal? It has become much worse lately and has really but a damper on my relationship with my husband. Sorry if that's TMI.

I have had pain during sex for almost 2yrs now. Its always worse when a week away from my period, or with deep penetration.

Unfortunately I think it's common for us with Endo. I've found that lube (astroglide is my favorite) helps a lot. Plus finding a position that feels better helps. My doctor let me know which way my cervix was tilted so I could know which way would be most comfortable.

Yes, constant pain, it's horrible. It is normal though one of the main symptoms of Endo unfortunately. It causes issues in my marriage as well. I'm sorry, it's the worst thing.

I have pain also when he goes too deep or when he hits certain areas. My GYN recommended me to try different positions and try using lube that it could help. It's so hard though! I also get HORRIBLE cramps when I am starting to get aroused, there's been points I have had to stop and go to sleep instead.

Yes, unfortunately this is normal side effect of endo. I've suffered with the same issue for many years now. I can suggest trying some relaxation /breathing techniques(meditation has helped me) to get yourself in a space to try & make it enjoyable. The only other things that have been beneficial to me is: Having open communication w/ my partner about my needs (most important), taking a warm shower/bath w/ magnesium salts prior to, trying to remain calm/relaxed in order to not cause my body to tense up in anticipation of the pain, experimenting w/ varied positions (personally lying on my side is most comfortable for me) & lastly I take 1 magnesium tablet before & after to aide in muscle relaxation & this REALLY helps me a lot!!! I also never have my heating pad too far & use it immediately after. I hope all this makes sense & is helpful to you. Feel free to message me anytime! Be well!
