Are any of you on RX meds like Nuvigil, Wellbutrin, or B-12 shots for fatigue? (All labs normaland recently tested after surgery). This is my only Endo major symptom left along with "swelly belly" Endo bloat. I have a doctors appointment soon and was wondering if any of you have had any RX meds for reducing/fighting fatigue? It would be nice to take some ideas that other docs/gyn's are doing for Endo patients.
The ONLY thing that has helped was changing my diet. I did the whole30 diet, which eliminates inflammation causing foods, and about 2 weeks in I felt well rested and energetic. I like it because you don't even have to buy a book, everything you need to know can be found online for free. It's a commitment to 30 days of only fruits, vegetables, lean meats and fish, and healthy fats. No grains, legumes, soy, sugar, etc. It wasn't as hard as it sounds, but it makes you so acutely aware of all the garbage in our food. I can't even begin to describe how much better I felt. I fall of the wagon occasionally, and it's only meant to help you realize how your body reacts to certain foods as you reintroduce a food group at a time at the end, so I know that sugar zaps my energy and grains and dairy make my stomach feel terrible and give me headaches. I tell you this because I hate taking medications, and this seemed to help more than anything else with the fatigue.
Food has done nothing! I have done whole30, gluten free, dairy free, low fodmap... Food literally has no bearing on my fatigue nor does exercising!
Diet is so important and I wish doctors would get onboard and understand how food plays a huge role for endo patients! Thanks for sharing!
