Yes, I did. I was hospitalized two summers ago. I wanted off of the lupron and was in hospital because of it and the side effects it caused. I couldn't get out of bed because my muscles and bones hurt so bad and the migraines and the weight gain and the $10,000.00 in dental fees because of it. But if it's your first period after lupron it will hurt and you will have pain because your body is getting back into a normal cycle and that takes a lot for it to happens and get back to normal. Depends on how long you were on it too! But just think that in the end, you'll hopefully conceive and have a beautiful child to hold. It's a risk we have to take but a lot of women go through it. I was told that when I want to concieve I'll be in pain. I'll have to come off everything and then start trying. And until I concieve I'll have pain because there isn't anything suppressing the endo or helping it. But put it into perspective! You shouldn't have pain once you get pregnant and for a bit after if you breastfeed! So good luck! And I hope this helps :) and NEVER EVER GIVE UP!!! You've made it this far! @A MyEndometriosisTeam Member, can you tell me a little more about the muscle and joint pain you experienced on lupron? for the first 3 months I would have said lupron was a godsend.. I felt great on it and had no side effects except a bit of nausea but I had that before just from the endo anyway. But recently (I am going into my 6th month, 2nd round of the 3 month shots), I have had a lot of muscle stiffness and cramping in the mornings, like feels like the day after a hard leg workout. Just this morning I woke up in so much pain my husband had to carry me to the bathtub and give me a bunch of dilaudid and help me move my joints around because my body was totally locked-up and in excruciating pain (along with a migraine). I also had my hands and feet swell up like balloons earlier this week. I am wondering if this could all be because of the lupron? I am waiting for my second surgery on July 28 and I am really hoping they get everything out this time.
