So I was at my doctor last week and she was talking about the lupron. So I said I would try it but after I seen the side effects. I was like I don't want it no more. But she still wants me on it. I scared out of my mind. My husband just wants me to be happy and i want the pain to stop

I also had bad side effects with Lupron. If you don't like the side effects don't take it and look for other options out there. Mental health is so important along with your physical health. Don't stick with something you're not happy with when you still have more options to try.

I'm on Lupron now (about 6 weeks) - no weight gain, but my endurance/strength for working out has definitely decreased.

The hot flashes are unreal. I have them at least every hour, so I'm exhausted. I haven't had any emotional issues/mood swings. I still have a lot of the pressure/pain. On the plus side, I haven't had a period and no surprise spotting that I was constantly dealing with for years. My doc recommended it pre surgery...i'm definitely getting surgery and then going the earthy route after. I 100% blame years of birth control for this. Many of my friends in their early 30s were also on birth control from teenage years to mid-late 20s, and have had severe issues.

I said I would make it my mission to not let anyone else ever take that horrible drug. I have been the same weight for most of my life: in the first 2 months on lupron I gained 30 LBS. Then slowly I gained a bit more. My hormones were out of whack and I couldn't get it straightened out. Plus it feels like menopause so holy shit was I a holy terror (women NEED estrogen, just saying we have it for a reason lol). It took me 2 years to get the weight off (once they got my thyroid back up with meds). I ended up with plantar fasciitis after the weight gain which I may or may not ever get rid of. Lupron is THE WORST. The only benefit was I did get a reprieve from the adenomyosis for a few months but it was not worth it. For the pain because nothing seems to work my doc tried me on diclofenac suppositories and I found a winner!

I had Lupron after my laparoscopy. It helped immensly with my endo symptoms, no pain and very light and short periods it felt great for about 8 months. However, the side effects were horrid. Severe depression almost took me. Hot flashes, night sweats, etc. The depression was the worse. I am now taking antidepressants and do not want to stop taking them.

I did not have a good response with lupron and the side effects lingered even when I was already off it. Extreme sadness; fatigue with total weakness were my debilitating side effects among others.
