I meant to say progesterone cream at night not estrogen!

My cycles basically quit about a year before my lapo. I had scant ones here and there but nothing normal or timely. I am not taking BC, I refuse to. I use an estrogen cream topically at night. If I was in menopause I would understand no periods but according to the OBGYN, I'm not in menopause. But yet I have hot flashes and night sweats pretty regularly. OBGYN says if I was younger and not so close to menopause, a hysterectomy would be more of an option. But since I'm so "close" to menopause, they try to preserve the anatomy because endo symptoms supposedly go away after you're thru it. I'm feeling frustrated because I'm only 2 months past lapo and my symptoms are coming back already. Going back to OBGYN on March 11 to talk about it.

It can take a while to get your period after the surgery. Your body is shocked from the procedure so it takes a while to adjust. If you are on birth control it can help regulate it. However I highly suggest to go on one that does not have estrogen as that can contribute to the amount of endometrial tissue that can grow back. Progesterone only is good but 80% effective if you are using it to not get pregnant. How long has it been since you've had your cycle?
