Has Anyone With Endometriosis Applied For Dissablity?
I am a hairstylist, I've been at my current salon for a little over 2 years now and I've called in due to sever pain and not being able to function A LOT. I know my boss is not happy they have cut my hours and threatened to fire me. I've brought drs notes in and even had laproscopic surgery once since working there. Yes, I just applied for short term disability to undergo a laparoscopy and was out of the office for two full weeks. It was fully approved.
I have never tried applying for disability, but i do know you can get approved for fmla. I am not sure if the company you work for offers that.
I did back in 2009 but I was denied; sad. I also have Ulceractive Coalitis, and during that time it was impossible for me to work. I had to get blood infusions and everything. I was in the hospital like every other week literally.
