Laparoscopy And Nothing Found!
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Ive had endo signs for years. Painful periods, painful sex, painful bowel movement, two ectopic pregnancies, irregular long cycles and finally had a laparoscopy and they said everything is fine and didn't see nothing and discharged with no further action. Now I'm back to square one questiong what all these pains are. What do I do now?

This happened to me. Thankfully I had a wonderful OBGYN who wouldn't give up. She suspected adenomyosis after she did another pelvic and touched my uterus which made me cry instantly. She scheduled a MRI with contrast which confirmed the adenomyosis diagnosis. Maybe something to talk about with your dr.

I remember being so upset when they told me they found nothing during my lap. It was so disheartening to not know why I was dealing with these symptoms. I'm sorry you have to experience the same let down. While these diagnoses are nothing someone wishes for, it's better than no answer at all.

I am right with you with all the symptoms, had my lap today, and the only endo they found (according to my mom and sister...surgeon never came to talk to me afterwards or sent a nurse to do so) was the endometrioma they were removing. I know at least that means endo is present for me, and it could be for you too microscopically, but with all the pain I have every day I am just as confused as you. Hugs.

Hey hun
I know I've got endo from first ever lap at 18 but had one yesterday and nurse says something like " they didn't see much" and anyone said " nothing to see "
I'm like wrf
Had so many of these ops and they've always found something
Last six months the symptoms off the charts
Now I'm feeling defeated and so confused
Luckily I have an excellent GP
Gyno wants to see me again tho so that just adds to confusion xx

Elena - Tbh i dont even think they did a proper look. I looked at my discharge letter and it says they only looked at my left tube where I had the ectopics. So I'm gonna need another one for a full look. The pain is hurrendous some times.
Dnotko - I don't even know what adenomyosis is. I'll give it a look now.
Marrietta- lucky you got a good obgyn, I've never had one that actually cared enough to keep on looking.
I would love to not have any thing wrong! But I know deep down there is!!

Thank u ladies for the answers !!

Aren't they actually able to see adeno via TV ultrasound?
