Insist on the lap...I had 3 weeks off after excision but could probably have gone back after two. But from your symptoms I would say it’s worth it.

I hope your feeling better! For years from my early 20's until now (37) I was treated for ibs. The only time I had relief was pregnancy and breast feeding. Through the last year I had all my symptoms cone back with a vengeance and my Ob thinks it's endo and probably has been the whole time. No plan for surgery at this time. Trialing mirena at this time. How are you doing? Did you find out if your ibs and endo are related?

I had a laparoscopy and returned to my normal life the next day (wouldn't recommend this), I should've taken a couple more days off then I would have been fine! :-) my lap was the only thing that confirmed I had endo! So I hope that it shows something for you :-)

The typical recovery for lap surgery is 2 weeks. Some people return to work sooner, others it can take longer. It all depends on your body and how extensive the surgery turns out to be
