Be the first to react

I have only been using Visanne as a treatment - I usually get side effects in the first month which subside, but find that after month 4/5 I have to swap because I go spiralling into depression and get very bad side effects - my gynae says she's found 5 months seems to be the limit for many of her patients

As a result I do 5 months visanne, then go onto a pill low in oestrogen (like Yaz) until the pain is too bad again and I swap back

It really does help for pain a lot!

Hi Tracey , I was on Visanne for over 6 months and my body didn't agree with it. I was permanently sick, hot flushes , felt like I was going to pass out every 10 mins, the mood swings were bad but not the worse out of all the other reactions I had ...
However it did take the pain away and improve the endometriosis for a while . The doctor said the longer you are on it the more it helps . I was pulled off it due to it making me sick. I do hope it helps you, as not having pain is so amazing!

Hi Tracey. I have been on Visanne for the past year now and must say the pain has definitely decreased, including the sweats and nausea that it usually accompanies. I have however seen an increase in mood swings and my hormones feel more out of place than usual with an outbreak of acne. Doctor says that it's all normal so I am staying on it until my lap next month. Would like to also get more feedback on Visanne from other ladies.

Hi. It works differently for all of us. For some it may help an some not. I was on Vissane for 3 months and the side effects i got landed me in hospital. Almost every day i got panic attacks amongst other syspmtoms. I was hospitalized for experiencing a lot of side effects, with this at the time so called new drug for Endometriosis. My doctor at the time took me off it and said it UNFORTUNATELY IT DOES NOT WORK FOR YOU.
