I've been on it for just over two months. It has completely stopped my period. I'm getting my Endo under control in hopes to have a baby. I'm worried that without a period I maybe going backwards 😞

@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member @A MyEndometriosisTeam Member I'm so happy I found this. Maybe you have some advice. Firstly I am not trying to get pregnant :D just the opposite of that. I was put on Visanne last year. I took it for 3 months and slowly started going bonkers and ended up being very suicidal and losing clumps of hair. As a result I quit Visanne two months ago, but I still haven't had a period. Did your period also take this long to return?
Results of my HSG ended up showing an infected and blocked left Fallopian tube. Just had surgery to remove it and also removed endo scar tissue at the same time. Stopped Visanne one week after surgery. I am two weeks post op. Appt with the fertility clinic on the 13th. Hoping to start Clomid. I am still in a considerable amount of pain. Will share updates when I have them. Hopefully a baby in 2019???

Any news from since you last posted? I am in the same situation. Been in Visanne for about 6 months to clear up some of my Endo in hopes of having a baby. I want to stop Visanne at the end of this month. For me the pain has disappeared and I have no periods.

Hi. I was having a year of treatment with Visannette (the same as Visanne), from September 2016 until September 2017, just after the laparoscopic surgery. I got a positive pregnancy test at the beginning of October and my doctor confirmed the pregnancy, everything seemed to be ok, the embryo had a heartbeat and so I was feeling hopeful. Unfortunately my pregnancy ended somewhere between 16th November and 8th December. I'm still believing, as I have read from other people's experiences, that it's still possible to get pregnant again and carry the baby through the term.
I was on Visanne for three, close to four, years. You can get pregnant while using visanne, but it will not come to term, thesack forms outside the uterous.
My doctor did tell me on repeated ocasion that if I was looking for pregnancy, the visanne would have to stop due to that small fact above. Unlike birthcontrol, which you do need time (some peope) for the effects to wear off.
Visanne just like stupifies your ovary so that no endometrial tissue forms.
