Does anyone else see their gyno as much for mental health as Endo stuff?

Yes! I feel like he is the only person who gets it. I've been with him from diagnosis to my eventual hysterectomy. Now I'm in the pain mgmt phase and because of all these laws created out of opiate abuse I have to see a pain mgmt doc and I've yet to find one with the same compassion. I miss my gyno!!

I told my gyno I'm suffering from severe anxiety and depression n that it's worsened w the mirena, and she said that increases mental distress w endometriosis isn't uncommon. She didn't have much help for me. If I asked for anti depressants she may have given em a script but I do have a therapist I talk w weekly and that helps enormously. I'm considering going on meds for the next 6 months to help me once I get my iud out n deal w the hormonal crash and Through the whole ordeal of surgery.
