I would like to know if anyone else has had a injection to create a chemical menopause? I have now stopped having them and my periods are back but the pain is horrendous. I'm now registered as disabled. I'm asking if you have had a bad experience too. I was not disabled before I had those injections. I'm 38 and feel like my life is over already.
Any info would be great. ๐ข
I am currrently on lupron which causes a temporary menopause. For me it has helped but I am scared to see what happens when I get off. I hope things get better.
I had prostap, my gynae only gave me 3, he said that if it was going to work it would have taken effect by then. I also have problems with my si joints so I'm in pain all the time. I really hope that you get some relief soon hunni. I was also told I'm not 'ill' enough to be classed as disabled!! It's a joke, been struggling on just hubby's wages is no fun!!
How many lupron injections did you have was it called Prostap or Lupron or zoladex?
@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member . My gynecologist was Mrs Dr K Goswami at the BMI Meriden hospital she didn't confirm i had endometriosis before she just gave it me anyway. I have a group fighting for justice on Facebook if you want to join # lupronvictims send me a friend request and ill add you xxx
I have had those injections but found they didn't do anything for me at all!! So my gynae said that it can't be endo that's causing my pain!! So I've been discharged from seeing him ....... Until i had my ovary removed i had never had any problems, i even used to work in a supermarket but now I can't do that job anymore ๐
I would but reading doesn't go well. I used to read often but now I struggle remembering what I've read since my prostap. I do get days where some days are better than others though so those days I try get as much information as possible. I have a group called on Facebook about endometriosis and invisible illnesses. I agree with you knowledge is power hun . Can I follow you on Facebook too ? ?
