I had my endo removed in the summer and the surgeon said that they had managed to get it all and so I was endo free. My pain has been getting increasingly worse over the months after I had relief for 1-2 months. It's the same endo pain but more intense & painful. I don't know whether it could be endo Reoccurring even though the surgeon said he got it all...
I have had three surgeries and each time I was free afterwards, but it is a condition that doesn't go away and it will continue after that point again. My understanding is that the surgeries are just a temporary way of getting rid of pain/symptoms and saving your ovaries if you intend to have children
Sadly there is no cure and it will continue to grow with the presence of estrogen, even after menopause or a full hystorectomy. Sometimes too, the surgery can cause nerve pain. I had surgery 6 months ago and am getting pain back now. My dr was very up front about needing more surgery and being Stage 4 I am extremely grateful for 6 months of nearly pain free time.
Yes. Aslong as there is estrogen in your body it will continue to grow. Ive had 4 surgeries for endo so far. There is no cure for this disease so there is no way it will forever be gone, even if they got it out the first time. New endo will grow
Even if they removed it all the first time?
Endo can definitely grow back, hence y most endo sufferers have multiple surgeries.
