I've never had issues with spasms in my pelvic area, but recently this has been happening quite a bit. I think it may be coming from my right leg muscles during core exercises, but I'm not totally sure. Anyone have any experience with this happening?

Thanks! ๐Ÿ’›

I was recently diagnosed with Pelvic Floor Dysfunction and my PT told me that any really aggressive workouts, particularly cycling, will make muscle tightness and spasms worse. If intense core workouts are not done really correctly, that can cause the same issues. I think gentle core workouts are better if you have spasms, sciatica or muscle tightness in your pelvic floor. Physical therapy has really been helping me and has made a minor difference in the amount of pain I get in the days leading up to my period.

@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member thank you :-D And thank you all for your responses.

@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member I'm in PT now (ortho, though, not pelvic floor) and it's made such a difference in improving my strength and recovering from the injury that got me there in the first place. I'm glad yours is going well too! That's a really interesting point about cycling-- some of the core exercises I do when this happens use similar leg motions. I'm seeing my ortho specialist tomorrow, maybe she can offer some insight so I don't have to talk to my (young, attractive, male) PT about it haha.

Happy birthday @A MyEndometriosisTeam Member!!!! Have a wonderful pain free one ๐Ÿ˜˜

I've had spasms in the pelvic and rectal area ever since my endo pain started years ago. I've never experienced it in my leg though!
